Re: My B250e is dead

hfeb, Oh no, that is not good. You will see from other posts that a replacement of the motor out of warranty is really expensive even for a reconditioned motor. Be prepared for sticker shock. Perhaps the Danish mechanic can source it from MB directly but our understanding is that the motors may have...

Re: Heated windshield replacement??

Yep, exactly the second reason I did not pick up my gently used B250e when the lease ended. The first one was price. Who knew that the pandemic would curtain my driving mileage too. Enjoy the ride folks. Am watching the new offerings come out and am deciding if I really need a 300 mile range EV or n...

Re: B250 Owner's reliability experiences

Chrisoc, Hey, great, welcome. It is overall a very reliable car. The problems were generally with the 2014s with the early Tesla motors. Then relatively rare thereafter. The replacement motor could have been new or a refurbished one. If the former, you are all set. The dealer should have lots of inf...

Re: Won't go in Gear

MuirBclass, Sorry to hear about the issue. Having been a member of this forum for the last 6 years, I don't recall anyone reporting this issue. This compounds the usual lack of familiarity with our B250e by local MB dealers. I would recommend a couple of tactics that worked for other issues: - Be pu...

Re: My B250e is dead

hfeb, Oh I see. Almost all local MB dealer have no experience with our B250e and have to consult with either MBUSA in the US or MB-DE. They send the service request and are guided through by head office. You may need to insist that your service manager do that for you. Each MB dealer we were told ha...

Re: My B250e is dead

hfeb,

This is terrible but does sound familiar. Hopefully, one of the members can help you with the service manual. Not clear where you are but shipping cost of 3K is a lot. I take it that by workshop, you don't mean a MB dealer. I am hoping it is a software gliche or sensor problem.

Good luck.

Hello from Portugal (my PM reply stuck in Outbox)

Hello JoaoPintoReis, I was quite happy with my zippy electric B250e. I leased a 2014 and 2017, each for three years, and returned both rather than pay the residual buyout price. The main factor was that the 90 mile range during the warm months was okay but the 60 mile range in colder months was not ...

Re: New Mercedes Electrics

Talking to a couple of salespeople and according to one, the EQC will be available to order in 2021 as they phase out the PHEV hybrid GLC350e.

Am looking at the PHEV leftover in case they want to dump them but otherwise will wait to see price and availability of the EQC.
