Re: Changing headlights

Woosty, I checked out eBay and there are folks selling LED replacement bulbs that fit your B250e. Sorry about my initial likely mistaken view. Let us know if you get the replacement LEDs. They would look good on the B250e. Here is the link to the exploded diagram. https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Merced...

Re: Changing headlights

Woosty,

Not sure you can but I don't have one of those exploded parts diagrams. All I know is when I had to replace a damaged drivers side lamp, the replacement was one unit including bulbs.

I don't recall anyone having posted that they had made the mod you suggested.

Good luck.

Re: Is this a good car still for a daily driver

Fred (I assume), That is a good price. My lease buyout was at $19.5K on a 2017. You can probably negotiate lower. With the exception of initial issues with 2014 motors and some rarer motor issues with 2015-2017, EVs are usually trouble free. You will want to confirm the remaining warranty on car AND...

Re: LUCID Air - High End BEV

Peter,

If I win the lotto, sure. It is interesting to see the battery charging times drop. Now if the infrastructure would start to catch up . . . but that is another post.

Re: Bye-Bye To My Beloved MB B250e

Charles, hey there. Our last man standing! Good for you. I miss my B250e. Filling up a gas tank while fast is actually slower than just plugging it in at the public parking or work and going off to do something while it charges. Hanging around waiting for my next EV to run me over and impress me wit...

Re: Bye-Bye To My Beloved MB B250e

Till we meet again Peter! Good choice that as an experience EV driver, you know your needs better than someone coming over from an ICE car. Too bad about the XC40 for you. I have yet to sit in one, let alone test drive it. As it is playing out, when its time to get my next EV (turned in my leased 20...

Re: Pedestrian warning, blind spot and adaptive cruise

Chris, My recollection (needs to be checked) is when I leased my 2014, one of the options was blind spot assist along with radar assisted parking and paddles to adjust regen braking. I leased it as is with all those options plus comfort package. When I leased my 2017, the one the dealer had bsa but ...

Re: Guess oh meter going down quickly

Chris, Hm, that would be unusual, yes. If you take it to a shop, it needs to be a shop that can plug into the onboard computer and read out the error codes to identify the source of the fault. If just a software fault, I am not too worried for you. However, my main point of investigation is to satis...

Re: Guess oh meter going down quickly

Chris, The GOM is aptly named. Like all range calculators, it uses the last bit of driving to estimate remaining range on the assumption that the remainder will be exactly the same. Never really true if you think about how you drive as you approach your home after a day of driving. Particularly if y...

Re: My Next EV?

Peter,

At the risk of being labeled a youtube nerd, I believe that Alex from Autos said that Apple Car Play will work. How exactly, he did not show in his video.
