MBrace and iPhone app both kaputski

Mr250e, No question I loved my 2014/2017 B250e but alas the lease ended and I returned them which in hindsight was a mistake. I timed it badly as I thought the EQC was going to be sold in the US. So I leased an ICE MB but am prepared to turn it in for a EQB in 2022/2023. To your questions, yes the p...

Re: Coming in 2022 the EQB!

Great to hear from you folks. We learned a lot from each other and can occasionally pass along what we know to those who inherited our beloved B250e cars. Driving my ICE GLC300 is fine but the new tech is not as fun as the EV platform. You will laugh but today, my range was estimated to be 39 miles....

Re: Motor whining, needs replacement

Hi Dyan, I just saw your message and apologize for not checking the forum as I was away on our first trip since you know what hit. Anyhow, shame on the local MB dealer. All MB dealers were to have one service technician trained on electric vehicles. Most MB dealers granted have never seen a B250e bu...

Coming in 2022 the EQB!

It was inevitable but just announced is the EQB with promised release in 2022 in the US. It is built on the ICE platform so interior space and specs should be similar. AWD with range in mid-200s. Still lags in terms or range but at least double the range of our beloved B250e. I think they might be b...

Re: New B250E Owner Here!

neuve90, most likely, the pleasant whirring is the sound of an electric motor. it should not be loud but more in the background. tires normally make a different sound. but have it checked out at dealer before the base warranty goes poof. if my memory is correct, please check posts, the battery warra...

Re: New B250E Owner Here!

hey neuvo90 (or newguy), congratulations. i loved my two B250e but alas, the leases ended. i also ditched the run flats for some soft ride michelins but as a precaution, bought myself an air compressor and put it in the boot. i assume you meant you were going to drive it but take it in before the en...

Re: B250 Owner's reliability experiences

hyap463, The motor problem was pretty much the 2014-2015 models. The issue with the later models was not a bad motor but a problem with the battery coolant system which caused problems for some. By in large, these cars are good cars. As per my other notes, I would worry about battery performance and...

Re: Motor whining, needs replacement

hyap463,

Yes, the dealer can access the last battery test data. If more than one year old, they can run it again and give you a current reading.

The price seems high for a 40k mileage car btw.

Re: Motor whining, needs replacement

hyap463, First, welcome to the forum. It was a fun car for 6 years, first a 2014, then a 2017. Second, don't know where you are but $16k sounds negotiable to me. Be sure to have the car checked out by a MB dealer before you buy to see if all required service was done and to let you know how much deg...

Re: Bye-Bye To My Beloved MB B250e

Went to test drive the Volvo XC40 Recharge. Like our B250e, it is quick, quiet and fun to drive. The B250e had the plus of lots of rear legroom and the minus of a small boot. The XC40 does not have the same legroom but has the small boot. I was tempted to give it a try especially with the combined $...
