The 12v system is just like any other car. It just gets power from a dc/dc converter rather than an alternator. I've replaced MB batteries with no issues.

I've not experienced this in my B but that sounds like a main fuse in the 12v system.

This has been a small number of vehicles with that issue and most seem to be the earlier cars. There is no way to know if a car will experience this issue unfortunately. I have 44k miles and have had no problems with my car.

Have you tried to charge it with no time of day restrictions? Maybe there is some conflict with the settings. With my EVSE, I get around 25 miles/hr charge. Otherwise, something is limiting it. Probably something in the software is off, or sensing a reason to slow the rate.

Sorry.. I see you have already checked the settings. Could you have a setting in your EVSE that needs adjusting? Have you used the EVSE with other vehicles? Even if the EVSE is 7kw, it's still limited by the capacity of the circuit it's plugged/wired into.

These definitely have a 10kw on board charger as I regularly see that with my EVSE. You may want to go into the settings to see if you have it limited to 3.9kw. There is an option to do that. Sorry, I don't remember exactly which menu, but it's in one in the instrument cluster, not the center console.

Yes, it seems like they omitted several things for 2017, but I don't have a list. I'm bummed they never offered the panoramic sunroof that you can buy on other B class vehicles in other markets. That would make my 2016 just about perfect.

The heated windshield does have a pink hue to it and is included in the range package. If it's pink, it's heated. There is no separate button for it, it operates with the defrost. Personally, I've found the climate control in the B to be superior to any other vehicle I've owned (including other MB),...
