Re: MBrace and iPhone app both kaputski

The backend server that provided remote charge level for the B250e and Smart EV was turned off by MB a few years back. There's no other way to get the data out of the car. The marketing materials for the B250e clearly stated that this service would exist for at least five years. However, it did not ...

Re: Back to the future?

After careful consideration of our options, we bought out the lease and kept the B. We have put just over 33K miles on it and it still feels entirely new.

No, Tesla is not a consideration without CarPlay. Full stop.

Re: My Mercedes Electric shutting down May 31, 2019

So, the marketing materials for the B stated that the Connect service was included complimentary for five years. Since they shut it off after two years, that's very clear false advertising.

Any interest in a class action lawsuit?

Re: Back to the future?

Sadly, we leased our 2017 B for three years with the explicit plan to replace it with one of the many EQ models that would be shipping by 2020. Sadly, Mercedes is incompetent: • They turned off the Connect service that provided battery status, well before the "five years" that were included with the...

Re: My Mercedes Electric shutting down May 31, 2019

On year two of a three year lease on a 2017. One month notice that a paid service is shutting down? Do you want me to not buy your brand again? This is how you get me to not buy your brand again. We’re totally their target market too, having had a 2016 Volvo XC90 T8, a 2019 Land Rover Discovery HSE ...

Re: OBD2 Phone app?

Based on my experience trying to get our B working with a Navdy HUD (R.I.P.), most of the interesting data for this car is on CAN and not among the regular OBD data.

Re: website outage

It hasn't worked for me since February. It's failing to log in, although the same credentials work just fine in Mercedes me and when I connect to the EV Homepage from a desktop browser.

Not yet. That requires giving up the car for service, which isn't convenient.

"Coolant low" when parked on hill?

If we park our B on a hill, front-end either up or down hill, we often see a "coolant low" warning when we start the car.

Looking at the tank on flat ground, it appears to be properly filled.

Does anyone else see this?

You want to keep my credentials stored on your server?

Um, no thanks.
