Hi everyone!!
To my knowledge the B Class was one of the first if not THE first EV to use paddle shifters for regen - that I know of. Currently, a few Kia/Hyundai EV models and the Chevy Bolt have them. I enjoy using them because I can regulate deceleration through regen and the radar system. I’m sure many of you already know what I’m talking about. One benefit of all this is that during a recent brake inspection the brake pads were in very good condition. Its’ been 40, 000+ original miles and 4.5 years of use.) To add a little length to the original paddles, (lg. hands) I added these extenders. Ergonomically, these work great for me. I think it adds a little “flash” to the rest of the interior.
