Hello all. I have a Mercedes E300DE saloon, with a battery range of 22 miles. This is not anywhere near the figure that has been officially announced, nor is it anywhere near Mercedes official WLTP figures... I thought the idea of WLTP figures was to prevent the massive exaggeration factor seemingly displayed by most (ALL) motor manufacturers. I've taken this issue to Mercedes and they suggest that 22 miles is doing really well. The dealership said that my driving style is the reason for the lack of range (even though previously they had said I was doing well at 22 miles full to empty battery, hmmm something fishy going on here me thinks, might be so bold as to suggest they are telling lies in order to make me go away, which I wont) so i suggest I might be clutching at straws but is there anyone else here who has an E300DE who would be prepared to tell me what electric only range they are getting.

It has blunted what has otherwise been a good experience (apart from the car rattling which can't be fixed apparently) but not sure if I would ever be a repeat Mercedes customer..Maybe it's better to get payday loans online in MI and buy a new battery, what do you think about this?

Hello Ziawiaim,

All battery power range estimates are under ideal conditions. The only times top range is achieved is when temperatures are above 65 degrees F, the driving conditions are relatively flat and the driver drives with a light touch on the pedal. Any deviation will cause actual range to be below estimated range. I see that it is 48 degrees where you are right now, so your range is about right. When it turns summer there, you will get better mileage. If you go up and down the hills in Auckland, this will result in lower mileage too.

Here when it is below freezing, my mileage decreases by as much as 50%. My commute to work is in urban stop and go traffic which is not good for range.

We don't have the E300DE in the U.S. and this forum members own/lease the all electric B250e with a top range of 96ish. I get 45ish in the dead of winter.
