Hi,
Is there a way to use the B Class as a backup power source during a power outage? I was thinking along the lines of powering a refrigerator.
I came across this product:

It made me think, is there a way to use the B Class...
Sorry. Don't know much about wheel measurements. I wanted to stay with OEM Mercedes wheels with the same measurements so I could keep the same tires. There are several other styles to choose from with the same measurement.
I also have the range package and can't figure this out. I did notice, if you look at the windshield from the outside, from a certain angle, there seems to be some kind of purplish tint. Could this be specific to the electronic heated windshield?
I had the wheels installed away from the dealer at an independent shop.
I had the original TPMS sensors transferred on the new wheels. Before they did the install, they did disclaim that the sensors maybe damaged in the process. They explained the TPMS sensors were not to "costly" to replace...
I bought the wheels online from a UK company that gets the wheels directly from Germany. They are OEM Mercedes wheels. Be careful with the sizing. The wheel size is very specific to this US model. Initially I thought I could get the OEM Mercedes wheels from a Euro-B class.
The sizing for the...
Hi,
I was hoping to get some opinions on this topic to confirm my understanding. Since the Mercedes B Class Electric Drive does not have an "ICE" (Internal Combustion Engine), I believe it should be safe to have the vehicle "On" with the heating/cooling running inside an enclosed garage because...
So I did a little testing this weekend. It seems if you drive in "D+" mode, the automatic braking is not applied (or perhaps not so sensitive) from the "collision prevention assist" feature. My previous post on this topic was based on driving in "D auto".

shipping is costly.
Try logging off and then logging back in. When you click on the climate control section, click on "use climate control now". It should set the time 10 minute ahead of the current time. You should notice a yellow/amber light lit on the climate control button in the car. If there is a red light...
Yes. Quite often. On the highway if a car is less then 2 car lengths away (approx. 25 - 30 feet), the braking is automatically applied. So in essence if another car turns into your lane less than 25 - 30 feet, the brakes are applied slightly. It's like having a driving instructor in the...
Hi,
Does anyone know how to disable this? In certain situations, I want full control of my braking (as opposed to having the vehicle brake automatically). I went through the owners manual and cycled through the on-board menu with no luck.
The cord length of the level 1 charger that came with the car is not very long, plus it is coiled.
You are better off going with a JESLA.

With this you have both options (120V/240V outlets). Plus...
So I did my first drive to Manhattan (New York, NY) this Saturday. Manhattan is known for it's "stop and go" traffic and figured this would be a good measure of range with a combined driving of highway and city driving. I live in Long Island about 25 miles from midtown Manhattan.
I started off...
