If I remember correctly, I squeezed out a couple more miles after hitting 0%. And the last a couple miles was a an good size uphill and then downhill. The power output was drastically reduced due to its protective mode. Then it shut itself off completely, and I was 800 feet from home.......

Thank you all for the information. After reading and messing around the buttons more, I feel a lot better. After resetting the on-board odometer, it read 85 miles range with 100% charged. I just explained to my wife and asked her to ignore GOM and she felt a lot better as well. Now it's time...
