    2015 won't have range option!

I just read on InsideEVs that the 2015 won't have the range option: Does that mean the extended range option will be available to all, or have they got rid of that option and the car will/can use the full battery pack every charge?

Daimler CEO pretty much says BMW spent too much on i3

According to Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche, "Nobody today is making a battery-powered vehicle that's economically viable in its own right. Manufacturers will not see a return within a reasonable time on the billions they’re investing now." He then went on to say Full article...

    JuiceBox Premium

You don't - the second drop down is for the Juicebox's output cables, but for some reason they've listed the input cable as well. Just select the input cable in the first drop down and the output cable in the second drop down (or leave whichever blank that you don't need) Hear great things...

My baby just got new shoes

Wow, that's looks great. Big improvement over the stock wheels, although I guess it stands out less as the strange, futuristic EV that it is!

Here's some photos from InsideEVs of the facelifted B-Class electric drive. The facelifted version is apparently what will go on sale later this year, while the facelifted B-Class ED will make it to the US sometime in 2015... go figure.

'Officially' first B-Class ED buyer was in LA

According to a recent article on green car reports, the first official buyer of the B-Class Electric Drive was Kim Price of Mission Viego, just south of LA. Interestingly enough, the term 'first delivery' or 'first driver' doesn't show up anywhere, so perhaps she was the first person to put a...

Car and Driver - BMW i3 vs. Mercedes B Class Electric.

The first part of the results are very subjective, so I definitely found the second part of the graphs the most interesting (acceleration, handling results).

Car and Driver - BMW i3 vs. Mercedes B Class Electric.

Car and Driver tested the BMW i3 (non Rex) versus the B-Class Electric Drive, and according to them, the BMW i3 won. The 2 vehicles were basically evenly matched in the performance categories, but in the subjective 'fun to drive' rating, the BMW won out. According to Car and Driver, the BMW is...

152 miles service engine light came on

Wow - seems kind of like an easy out for MB - I wanted them to see it fixed and back on the road ASAP. Did they rush the launch to much and now ended up with this problem? What about all the other vehicles with errors? I wonder if MB will start contacting or not.

First month of B-Class ED sales - any guesses how many?

During the BMW i3's launch month, 336 of them were sold. The B-Class Electric Drive has had very little inventory arrive in the country so far (only around 20 according to InsideEVs), so sales will not be anywhere near as many as the i3 launch month. Does anyone have a guess? I'll guess 10...

    Leasing

They're probably thinking 'this electric vehicle can only go 100 miles per charge, who will drive it that distance more than 75 times a year?' ha. You'd think they would look at Leaf usage or something first to see how many miles people are putting on. Do you think there'd be an option to...
