    12 Volt Battery Issues

The 12v system is just like any other car. It just gets power from a dc/dc converter rather than an alternator. I've replaced MB batteries with no issues.

    HELP!!! My B250e is dead

I've not experienced this in my B but that sounds like a main fuse in the 12v system.

Hello from Portugal (my PM reply stuck in Outbox)

Joao- This has been a small number of vehicles with that issue and most seem to be the earlier cars. There is no way to know if a car will experience this issue unfortunately. I have 44k miles and have had no problems with my car.

Charging speed only charges at 3.9kw

Have you tried to charge it with no time of day restrictions? Maybe there is some conflict with the settings. With my EVSE, I get around 25 miles/hr charge. Otherwise, something is limiting it. Probably something in the software is off, or sensing a reason to slow the rate.

Charging speed only charges at 3.9kw

Sorry.. I see you have already checked the settings. Could you have a setting in your EVSE that needs adjusting? Have you used the EVSE with other vehicles? Even if the EVSE is 7kw, it's still limited by the capacity of the circuit it's plugged/wired into.

Charging speed only charges at 3.9kw

These definitely have a 10kw on board charger as I regularly see that with my EVSE. You may want to go into the settings to see if you have it limited to 3.9kw. There is an option to do that. Sorry, I don't remember exactly which menu, but it's in one in the instrument cluster, not the center...

    She's Gone (hall & oates)

Happy Travels! I've looked at the XC40 (non- recharge) and found it to be VERY nice. I suspect the EV version will only make it better. Sad that to this day we still have so few choices.

    2017 Options & Standard Features

Yes, it seems like they omitted several things for 2017, but I don't have a list. I'm bummed they never offered the panoramic sunroof that you can buy on other B class vehicles in other markets. That would make my 2016 just about perfect.

    Heated windshield replacement??

The heated windshield does have a pink hue to it and is included in the range package. If it's pink, it's heated. There is no separate button for it, it operates with the defrost. Personally, I've found the climate control in the B to be superior to any other vehicle I've owned (including other...

First time ChargePoint Home Flex charging for 97 miles

If you have not selected Range option, it will only charge to 80%. I suspect the "added" range is an artifact that will adjust itself after driving for awhile. The range estimator is just that, an estimator. I've seen lots of different estimates based on driving mode, climate control use, last...

    2017 Options & Standard Features

http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/Mercedes_Benz/B-Class/Mercedes%20Benz_US%20B-Class_2016.pdf sorry.. misread this. though you were looking for 2016. this is the US 2016 Brochure. it's rare to find one with all the available options. actual leather and parking sensors seem to be the rarest...

    New Mercedes Electrics

Yes, but the question is will they bring them to the US? It makes sense for them to produce as many as are needed for their domestic and local markets first as Tesla is really mounting quite a threat to their traditional customers. Plus, the US isn't exactly a stable market for anyone right now...

California resident wants to buy B250, please help

I've read and been concerned about the motor issues reported here as well, but so far, my '16 with ~40k miles hasn't had a single issue. I'm a MB fan and have owned several, so obviously I like the fact that I can drive a fully electric Mercedes, but I also love how unique they are. I live in...

Electrek article about Model B motor repairs

I paid $6500 for a 5 yr / 60000 bumper to bumper with a $500 deductible. It's $144/mo and I figured that was well worth the piece of mind given the random motor issues these cars can have. And it's fully prorated and refundable if I don't keep the car for 5 more years.

    Buying an off lease model.

I just purchased a 5 yr / 60,000 bumper to bumper with $500 deductible for ~$6500. The same warranty for my 2016 GLC300 with only $100 deductible was $4995. I can't answer the second question but I wouldn't worry too much about the battery.

    Favourite feature - reverse parking

My favorite feature is the power folding mirrors I retrofitted. I have a narrow garage and it's nice to be able to fold the mirrors when pulling in and out. Side note, I just realized a couple of weeks ago that if you have your wipers in auto mode and go into reverse while it's raining, the car...

Electrek article about Model B motor repairs

Mercedes isn't a great brand to own out of warranty. I know this from painful and expensive experience. My husband has a 2016 GLC300 and both of our cars recently went out of warranty. Since they both are low mileage, long since paid for, and well-loved, we decided to keep both for the time...
