I've had some rather mediocre charges on some public EVSE's. Not complaining because I've never paid for any of those electrons, but one local free location charges at 7.2 mph.. Clipper Creek chargers, but at like 24 AMPS.

On the upside I had a great experience yesterday at the Casino in Charles Town, WV. Drove there from Frederick, MD starting off with 90 miles on the GOM (no extender). Arrived with 58 miles remaining to find that PlugShare was right, 11 EVSEs all rated at 40 AMPS. I pulled in to find all 11 were empty.
Stayed for two hours, the wife won $60.. left with the GOM showing 92.

A great day.

Most Blink EVSEs are dialed back to 24A from 30A. They had problems with the original cable.

Given that most voltage is at 208V 24A is 4.99 kwh. only home EVSE's are at 240VAC. Also most EVSE;s top out at 30A. Only a few home EVSE;s supply the full 40A.

208V is what you get from Wye supping 120VAC.That is what most industrial buildings are.
