Anyone figure out a good system for an iPhone mount? A lot of mounts are the magnets plugged into the vents and these vents are too deep for those.

Just thought I'd throw out the question, having trouble figuring a mount.

Thanks

I use a mount into the CD slot which I never use. It does block the view of the climate and buttons below but I don't usually fiddle with those anymore and would rather not block the air flow.

thanks for the replies! I was looking at the cd holder on amazon and thought that may work. If you're giving it a thumbs up I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

I recommend the iMagnet. It has a super sticky suction cup mount that almost never comes loose.

FB, looks good. BTW, how do I post a picture? I see the Img link but unable to figure out how to link to photo. I have dropbox, do I cut and paste a link to there?

Jeff, I use Picasaweb.com, but it looks like Google is migrating it to something that doesn't support picture links. The other site I use is photobucket.com. I haven't used it in a while, but this is what Picasa looks like. You'll want to find where it shares a link to a picture (.jpg or .png), then embed it within this site with the tag.

It should look like this when you're composing your post, but will show as a picture when browsing.

JeffRay does that CD mount rub the Volume knob? I bought a similar one and it rubbed the volume knob and would not let me turn it.

WTZ, I don't know but will check in the a.m. I finally learned to use the steering wheel buttons. It does however obscure it and I have to reach under to access the forward and back buttons.

WTZ, you were right, this brand does press lightly on the volume button. However, it can still be used if one does not want to use the steering wheel volume or mute controls. I have not missed it but say you wanted to turn COMAND off, then it would get in the way of doing that but still doable.

If you install the RearVision from Pearl, they include a smaller magnetic mount that I simply fastened to the encasement for the rearview mirror and since it is smaller than others, it attached firmly (3M adhesive) without interfering with the overhead buttons. The magnet attachment is very strong and with a metal plate attached to the iPhone it is a simple move to attach the phone just above the rearview mirror, that can not be seen from outside of the vehicle.
