Can confirm that the brake lights are NOT lit by regeneration in D- at any speed. Source: my wife, driving behind me on city roads and highway roads, when I asked her to check specifically for this. I drive in D- at all times, and I do wish it was a bit more aggressive for true one-pedal driving.

I've noticed this as well. It's definitely the AC compressor, which seems to crank pretty loudly for the first couple of minutes. If you turn off the climate control, the noise/vibration goes away instantly.

I concur. Press the climate preconditioning button on the dash and walk away. Stays on even after you lock the car while walking away. The caveat is that it cuts off after an hour or so, in case you were planning on running your AC that long. Really, the MBE web app for our phone should let us...
