The App is a POS, and so is the Customer Service

Make sure you get setup with the Mercedes site first. You must have a working account with the mybclass.mbusa.com site. The app does not have the ability to create or edit the account info. Once you can successfully get data from the Mercedes site for your car, the app should work fine.

EVAccess to become widely available soon

Just a note that EVAccess has been released in the Apple Store for US and Canada. I'm currently beta testing Smart cars in Europe, but B-Class in Europe will come later, as it's totally different servers and protocols. Ray

The App is a POS, and so is the Customer Service

Just to close this out, EVAccess has been released in the Apple Store for US and Canada. I'm beta testing some European Smart car customers at the moment, however B-Class in Europe is a totally different issue. It will come later. Ray

Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense now, but not quite 100% intuitive. :)

Stig, If you're reading here, I've tried to respond to your private message, but it is stuck (actually two now) in the outbox. Contact me directly at the email listed on the first page of this thread, please.. Ray

The App is a POS, and so is the Customer Service

Hi, I'm Ray Davis, and I'm the author of the IOS version of EVAccess. There were a couple of questions, above that I thought I might answer. 1. There was a comment that for the watch to work, the app must be open on the iPhone. That's not exactly true. The heavy lifting is indeed done by...

    My B-Class A/C control just doesn't work

I have connected with the author of EVAccess, and he has been gracious enough to be willing to work with me to get started on an IOS version. I'm in the middle of updating one of my other AppStore apps, which will probably take me another week or two, and then I plan on putting some time on...

    My B-Class A/C control just doesn't work

I did a bit of testing on my car today, with me sitting inside to see what happens. William is pretty close to 100% here. The app controls the pre-conditioning at departure time, as William indicated. However clicking on "Use Climate Control Now" changed my departure time from whatever was...

    Seat headrest questions

Not something I use much. Basically set them once and haven't changed since.

    Seat headrest questions

Mine are powered headrests in the front, and they are functional. They will go "almost" all the way down. My back headrests had to be pounded into submission. (And I had to pound much harder than I expected)!

Applications compatible with the Benz B-Class

The web app has problems synchronizing. As you've seen you generally need to login again to get new synchronization data. There is a shortcut you can use which makes it a bit easier. Turn on climate control. This causes the app to log out and try to connect to the vehicle You can then...

S vs E+ mode efficiency difference

It depends how you drive. If you keep your foot in it in S mode you will definitely see worse range. If you drive conservatively in both the ranges will be very similar

White stickers don't really go well

https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/vr/decal Details placement, but there should have been instructions with the stickers. Interesting that the green stickers require 4, but only 3 white.

    Anyone using Juice Box?

So now I am confused. Are you saying that effectively the car can only charge at a max of 8.2 a 8.5 kW? There is no way to get 10kw to the battery, regardless of EVSE capacity?

White Decal rejected - 2014 BClass California

I got my vehicle last July, so it may indeed be possible that things have changed regarding pre-ordering white stickers. I haven't kept up with any changes.

    Cabin AC active when parked

I believe the button you are referring to is the pre-entry climate control via smart key. Too much to type on iPad here, but check page 121,122 and 185 of manual. Basically if enabled the climate control will come on for one minute if temp warrants when unlocking with smart key. You can...

    Anyone using Juice Box?

I couldn't say for sure, but that's faster than the car can charge (10.93kw). What I'm guessing is that is wall power, and not what is actually taken in by the car battery. I believe the efficiency factor, as per Tony is about 83.3% (charging is not 100% efficient). With that I would...

    Driving range after charge

You can likely get onboard with 240V charging pretty cheaply. In my case there was a 240V dryer plug (30A) that I was not using in the garage. I simply tapped off of that, and ran a line back to the garage door area. Put in a 30A plug there. Then I purchased a very inexpensive Clipper Creek...

    Anyone using Juice Box?

Those figures are correct for 240V. As it happens, the voltage at my home registers at 250V, so my power numbers are slightly higher.

    Has this happened to you?

I did, and he was kind enough to respond. At the moment he wants to perhaps do an iPhone version himself.
