    My poor B

I looked at the Golf but they wouldn't even discuss a better lease deal than their advertised "special" so I pay less for the B-Class and I am totally happy with it. Shortly after I got my B-Class VW had the emissions problems come out on their Diesels and probably would have been more apt to deal.

    Car shutters when braking

I took my car in to have the annual battery certification and have them diagnose a problem with my brakes. This happens almost daily on a small hill near my house, when braking to a stop my car will fairly violently shutter before coming to a stop. Sometimes it happens when hard braking or even...

Annual Battery Certification No Charge- Mercedes Nanuet, NY

Thanks to wtzouris I was able to enlighten my dealer that the whole service should be covered under warranty! I did have to pay for them to diagnose a problem I have with the brakes shuttering when stopping on a down hill but that is another topic.

I just got stuck paying $424 for my 1st annual service ???

I just took mine in for the first service. I am not being charged for the battery drier cartridges but there is a charge of 47.40 for "battery condition check". I am assuming this is the certification? I was told this was required service for the warranty. Is this something I should be paying for?

    Removing the front bumper

I bought the "Mercedes Benz ALL MODELS 1986-2015 Service Repair Workshop Manual software" off eBay for 12$ so if it has the car I will be able to see what needs to be done to remove it. If it is too much I will have to suck it up and get the repair done. I am sure the whole front bumper will...

    Removing the front bumper

Well, I lost a battle with a rogue telephone pole cable and broke the clips off one side of the front bumper. Does anyone have any infor for removing the bumper so I can repair it? Is there a service manual floating around somewhere? Thanks.

Any lease deal at this time?

I went to Mercedes of Temecula and dealt with a guy named Alex. I did everything over the phone and he didn't try to change anything. Foothills Mercedes was also willing to deal but didn't have the color we wanted. I would try to put less money down. Maybe put the 2500 down that you will get as...

    Add rear view camera

Did you guys ever get this figured out? Mine doesn't have it either. I probably wouldn't use it much but my wife has had it for years and would be good for when she drives the car. I will look into the forum posted above.

    Seat memory

Mine does the same thing. I was a little confused at first but then held down the button. On our other car, if the car is not turned on it will move all the way with a single press but if the igniton is on it requires a button hold. I haven't tried that yet in the B Class.

    Seriusxm

I have had this in the last three cars I have had. Our Infinity actually does a little better but not much. I do get a n engine humming while on AM though.

Am I getting a good deal?

I ended up going to a dealer 67 miles away because the dealers in my area wouldn't deal (and they only had the sea blue we didn't care for). I ended up with a similar car to LacrosseMan but I am around 15$ more a month. The kicker was they took our trade in with high mileage and gave us more...

Free charger - PEV Pilot Program

Is this offer over? The only way I can get the"apply" button to appear is to click the box that I already have a charging station.

The i3: My One Day Test Drive

Thanks for the comparisons. I liked the drive of the i3 but not the rear seating with kids. I didn't even think about how the doors opening would affect things.

My shopping experience in San Diego

I hear you freewilly. That is why I was thinking of trying the AAA auto purchasing or Costco to see what they can come up with. The only bummer is you have to go to the dealer and talk to another salesman. Not my idea of fun.

Am I getting a good deal?

Sunnysocal, did you end up getting that deal?

My shopping experience in San Diego

It was the El Cajon Dealer. He even brought the sales manager over to meet us, and wanted the keys to our car to check trade in value. We kept saying we weren't purchasing yet but they pushed hard (not hard enough for a good deal though). The San Diego dealer said they couldn't go below 400$...

My shopping experience in San Diego

My wife and I decided to look at all the ev's out there one weekend. The Mercedes dealer was by far the pushiest. The car is very nice but the price we were quoted has us laughing. We said we weren't buying today but he goes to his manager and comes back with this: No money down, 12k miles and...

    EV Day San Diego 2015

I was there. I liked that all the vehicles were in one place to compare. I drove the i3 previously and it was the most fun to drive. Too bad it is funky looking and doesn't have 3 seats in the back.
