Mapping charging stations on the COMMAND Navigation module

Our MB Navigation maps many POIs (including gas stations) but surprisingly not electric charging stations. Has anyone found an easy way to add these on the Navtec/Here maps in the car's Navigation, e.g. as personal POIs? The only way to get locations of charging stations while driving the car is to use the MB app via internet.

The build sheet for the 2015 MB seems to indicate that this functionality is being added to the MB apps, and is due sometime shortly. Hopefully those of us with 2014 models will get this as an upgrade too.

I've not considered actually trying to add them as POI's but that would be fairly easy. The SendToBenz function of the MBrace app does a good job of this, and then you simply save the new destination(s). I've not done this, as I know all the local ones anyway, and the stations you'd want to find in the map are generally not local.

I tend to use PlugShare instead on my phone, when needing to find a station. Also, perhaps being cautious, I don't venture outside of my area that I'm confident I can get back (or charge), without pre-planning where stops will be.

Does anyone know whether charging station POIs are in the works? It sad to pull up gas stations when driving the EV.

Plugshare is - and likely always will be - the best for this...
